A selection of new, unpublished poems by Kyle
“Let us go then, you and I,
When the thunderclouds clamour against the sky
Like a baby squalling on a changing table…”
This book is called You and I because art is a conversation. Between artist and audience. Between artist and artist, or reader and reader. Between all of these people and the unexpected questions and replies offered by the passage of time.
A long-distance conversation between a brother (Kyle in London, Ontario) and sister (Kate in Ottawa), this collection of 64 poems and 10 charcoal sketches has serious and not-so-serious things to say about cats, Covid, wheelchairs, snowstorms, truckers, bugs, God, Johnstown, the Seaway, porcupines, chocolates, churches, turtles, and clowns.
We’re selling the book for $20 CAD (plus shipping, if applicable). All proceeds from sales are donated to charity (our current charities: Nature Conservancy Canada and House of Lazarus).
The book is available for purchase at Stone Crop Acres Winery and Vineyard (no need to order in advance). We can also ship copies to your address (payment by e-transfer). Please fill out the form below with your address to arrange shipment.
We hope you enjoy!

“You’ll find no rage here, reader,
no aching joy, no untamed hurt,
no phrases ripped from the heart’s
hidden secret chambers. I versify
the way I live, contented, my lines
soft, grown flabby round the middle.”
